BML Maritime Services Separates from CEO – Governance Structures Reorganized

The shareholders of BML Maritime Services have decided to terminate the cooperation with the former Chief Executive Officer, Albert Gerkens, with immediate effect.

This decision was taken following the discovery of serious irregularities within the former CEO’s area of responsibility, which resulted in an irreparable loss of trust at shareholder level.

The shareholders have immediately initiated internal review processes and implemented appropriate organizational measures to fully assess and address the matters concerned.
For reasons of legal diligence, no further details can be disclosed at this stage regarding the ongoing reviews.

The operational activities of BML Maritime Services are currently temporarily suspended pending the completion of the restructuring and governance reorganization process. These measures are intended to establish a stable, transparent, and legally compliant foundation for the company’s future operations.

The shareholders expressly emphasize that they clearly distance themselves from the actions of the former CEO and are committed to continuing the company, following completion of the restructuring, on a responsible, compliant, and sustainable basis.

Further information regarding the structural reorganization and the resumption of operations will be communicated in due course.
